Sally 
Ransom Knecht, age 92, passed away on June 15, 20234. Sally was a Board member for Board of Child Care for twenty-eight years serving as President, and overseeing a major 18 million-dollar building project and program development. Sally used her love of history by helping the agency preserve its rich history as the agency’s Archivist. The Board of Child Care recognized her selfless contributions by naming the agency’s Welcome Center and Archive Building in her honor in 2012.
Sally was an active Methodist and most of her life she was a member of Towson United Methodist Church. In addition to her volunteer work at BCC, Ms. Ransom Knecht also volunteered at a variety of causes that she cared about deeply. Sally’s commitment to her community was her passion, from being a nurse, an educator and a volunteer. Her life made a difference!
