Everstand’s Bridge Program provides a safe haven and place of healing for hospitalized youth experiencing complex mental, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
These youth have traditionally been stranded in hospital settings long after being cleared for release due to the inability to locate appropriate placement. Founded in 2022 and funded by the Maryland Department of Health, Bridge provides intensive inpatient stabilization services, including:
Skilled, on-site therapeutic care
Clinical services
Educational programming
Behavioral support
BETWEEN JANUARY 2020 AND JULY 2021, 84 MARYLAND YOUTH WERE IN THE HOSPITAL ON “OVERSTAY” STATUS.
Relationship-Centered
Strong, trusted relationships are at the heart of our complex trauma treatment. We seek to connect with our patients while also incorporating methods of clinical intervention, such as:
- Psychoeducation
- Trauma narration
- Group treatment
- Cognitive restructuring

- Self-regulation
- Stress tolerance skills
- Life skill attainment
- Post-treatment planning
Through this warm embrace of aid, Bridge patients can begin their journeys of healing and recovery.

A Safe, Calming Environment
Located in its own beautifully renovated building on the 25-acre Everstand Baltimore campus, Bridge is a safe, trauma-responsive space built with compassion in mind. Each resident is provided with their own furnished bedroom, as well as access to communal spaces for educational programming, medical and clinical services, and recreation/wellness.
Building Bridge Together
We’re seeking a variety of passionate medical, behavioral, and clinical staff to join our care team right away. The non-hospital setting at Bridge gives employees the opportunity to provide a deeper, more personalized level of care. You’ll walk alongside Bridge patients for every step of their journey, helping them heal through specialized treatments.
All training is paid and anyone hired will gain experience via deployments throughout Everstand’s program continuum (located on the same campus as Bridge).
The Bridge Program is a licensed Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) and is funded by the Maryland Department of Health hospital overstay grant program.
